Advent reflections

Advent is a good thing because it is about Jesus and we can think about him and his birth on Christmas Day. An Advent wreath has four candles, three are purple and one is  pink and the pink is for joy and the others represent Hope, Peace and Love. These are the things we need to think about during Advent and how we can make changes in our lives so we can show hope, love, peace and joy to others from now onwards.

I have enjoyed this year at school because we work really fast and get things done. I love my Maths and working out problems. I have good friends in class and I love my family at home.

Fake or Real?

Today we learnt about online media and whether we know if something is real or fake. One way to tell is to look closely at the images. We learnt how to take a photo on our Chromebook upload it to remove the background and insert it onto a Google Draw. This is me at a beach in Samoa. I wish I could go there and then my photo would be real.

Earthworms

Today we are creating an earthworm on Google drawing. I learned that earthworms don’t need eyes because they live deep in the soil and they need the darkness, a moist skin, organic food and good air under there. An earthworm has segments on its body that lets it move easily around in its tunnels.

Media Magic

Today we learnt about Media. Media is all around us. We use it everyday. Media can entertain, inform and persuade. In room 6 we mainly use media to entertain us. One skill we learnt was to embed a slide onto our blog.
